Introducing my new godson, Ryder Marshall!

Ryder Marshall Kaphing was born November 26th at 8:18am 8 pounds 1 oz 21 inches. So sad I was unable to be at the hospital when he was born, but probably a good thing after freaking out about the Code Blue on Connor when he was born :) LOL

Thankfully we were able to spend a lot of time with him while we were back and while he was still a little peanut. I can't believe he'll already be 7 months old the next time we see him :(

Rilynn just adored every second with him. She was even able to feed him a couple of times and loved it!

Hat I bought for him

So happy to see their new cousin!

San Francisco

Since we had plenty of babysitters while we were home Chad and I planned a mini vacation for just us. So off to San Francisco we went! We left December 14 and came back on the 18th. The weather was perfect and all around was a fantastic trip. Definitely would love to go back!

We stayed at the Hilton at Fishermans Wharf
The sea lions at Pier 39 with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background

We went on some tours while we were there. First we went to the Muir Woods where we saw GIANT redwood trees! It was the best air our lungs have had for the last year :) After we went to Sausalito and did some walking around.

SOOOO Tall..

The following day we went on an Alcatraz tour. We took a boat over to the island and spent a couple of hours there.

This was taken on the boat for all of our American friends in Shanghai to be reminded of what blue skies look like :)

Our last tour was a full day of wine tasting. We took a bus and went to Napa and Sonoma Valley and stopped at 3 wineries.

Not much to see of the vineyards, but the wine tasted good!

Would definitely recommend San Francisco as a vacation!

Birthday Girl!

I can't believe my sweet baby girl is 6 already!! Feels just like yesterday and was cuddling with her laying on my chest and now I can barely pick her up!

Since her birthday is on the 13th and we were leaving on the 10th we had her party on the 3rd here. Since we had our new big apartment I thought we could attempt a party here.. LOL.. Well, after having 15 girls over I may be rethinking for next year :) They all have fun and that's what mattered!

Rilynn loves cooking and doing crafts so did both at the party.. When they arrived they decorated their own pizza box, followed by making their own pizza, then onto decorating their apron and chef hat.. The best part of this was having Susan over.. Not everyday can we put the kids down for nap after the party and come home to a clean house!! LOL

Cupcakes with Pizza Gummies on top
Cake Pops- Each kid was sent home with one

We flew into Minnesota on the 10th and stayed overnight in a hotel. The following morning her birthday celebration continued with a party at Chuck E. Cheese. Rilynn had 4 other friends join her to celebrate and play. They all had a blast!!

Then finally finishing the celebrating by watching the Muppets in the theater and going out for dinner at Perkins eating her favorite meal (chocolate chip pancakes) with Grandma and Grandpa and the Baumgartner family :) Great way to finish it off!!

Hope you had a great 6th Birthday Sweetie!

Busy, busy...

Had a busy week of baking... Was busy making orders for cake pops, a bake swap, and also for the kids teachers gifts..

The kids wanted to make their own chocolate covered pretzels like mommy :)

Before break Rilynn wrapped up her first session of gymnastics.. They were given a badge to sew on their leotard. She loved it so much she is already signed up for the next course starting in January.

Her buddies!

Finally found Rilynn's 'body' hiding at school. Looks just like her! LOL
